Sergi Sirvent & David Viñolas

Sergi Sirvent - piano
David Viñolas - drums

At an intermediate point between jazz and classical, this duo offers a personal vision of works by Satie and Mompou, as well as some of their own compositions.

After the publication of their two volumes
Timbric recreations: from Mompou to Bartók
(Selfish Records), dedicated to the work of both composers and participating in the documentary
Resonances of a silent music
the duo returns to the charge with new repertoire, in this case focused on works by Erik Satie, Mompou and some of their own compositions and present the
album
Timbric recreations: from Satie to Mompou
(Columna Música, 2025).

The musician & composer Sergi Sirvent, from his time of student, has felt very close to these composers and in the way hi understands music.
Viñolas has felt attracted by the esthetic trends of the late XIX & XX centuries for years, finding out these composers who captivated him from the beginning.

A differential proposal that is positioned between jazz and impressionist and minimalist classical music, this duo offers a very personal vision of the
compositions of Erik Satie and Frederic Mompou, including some of their own compositions that are located in a similar aesthetic line.
The use of jazz languages, typical of improvisation mixed with more personal registers and dynamics of classical music make this artistic proposal a true
sound journey and a delight for the senses.
